Sea of Shattered Glass

She waits for him
On a sea of shattered glass

She once dreamt of a distant island
Where she and he could we
Silvery sand slipping through their fingers
Moments falling
Disappearing into the cycle
Of low and high

She would meet him there, 'neath the trees
Her him holding his her
Crimson strands slipping through his fingers
Clothing falling
Disappearing into the cycle
Of show and hide

She starts to fear she will never reach him
Her now becoming his then
Future's memory slipping through her fingers
Pictures falling
Disappearing into the cycle
Of know and died

So now she just waits for him
On a sea of shattered glass
